Our Mission
At P.S. 68, kindness and respect guide our daily journeys. We believe in building a strong foundation for our students to achieve success in school and beyond. Embracing diversity while promoting pride in our school community results in confident and motivated learners. Using the workshop model, our classrooms promote independent learners who are creative, curious and engaged. P.S. 68 offers a variety of enrichment programs, from a community garden on campus to state-of-the-art technology in every room. We strive to nurture the whole child through our dedication to standards-based instructional programs, while also focusing on practical skills and social awareness. We wish to impart a love for learning on our students necessary for a rich academic future.

Celebrating Diversity
At PS68 we are proud of our diverse, multi-lingual, and multi-ethnic community, which reflects the ethnic makeup of the Ridgewood neighborhood. We celebrate and support our families with multicultural events and curricula centered around inclusion and social justice.
Family Engagement
The parents and families that send their children to PS68 are important partners in all of our work at the school. Through family participation in the classroom, to regular parent-teacher conferences, sharing ideas and feedback at PTA meetings, and showing up for school events. The PTA and school Administration welcome parent involvement, and we know that the school and the children we serve are the most successful when parents are actively involved in the school community.
